Nkuku Lifestyle Store

We delivered this project whilst working for our friends at Moor Manage.

The project involved the conversion of a range of stone barns and an asbestos sheet covered modern barn into a showroom and retail outlet for this successful Fairtrade homewares company.

Construction Management worked well for this scheme because it allowed the clients to adapt and change the specification and requirements for the building as the project developed and the plans for the site became more complex.

This scheme evolved and the design was necessarily adapted as works proceeded. This can be costly when delivered through a standard procurement route however construction management provides a more flexible approach.

The challenges for the development included finding the right trade contractors to compliment the Nkuku brand and working with a variety of unusual materials to create the bespoke look.
